Member Spotlight: Lego

As most people know, SUN is an old guild with a lot history. For the good and the bad we are comitting fully to Darkfall and while the frontpage often will have news about Darkfall it will also be the home of a series of Member Spotlight's.

The first victim is Lego, who is one of the new members in SUN. From the day he started it was clear that he was interested and had skills to more then "just" being a typical member. It is rare that new members quickly becomes officers but with Darkfall this happened for 2 players in Darkfall Lego and Tsalarian - so these will be the first 2 people you get to know a bit better with our member spotlights.

Lego has played a vital role in our "Day 1" planning, where we (and a few other guilds) did so well that we we're accused of cheating - and people we're demanding server wipes. The funny part in this was that we felt that we could have done it at least one hour faster, but nevertheless it was very well organised.

After our structural change yesterday, Lego is teaming up with Schlachter in our newly formed Alliance Politics Group. They will keep the members updated on the latest news as well as having the daily talks with our allies. While the major strategic decisions is still placed in the Council this job is a very important area for SUN.

Lego will work close together with our "Blood Brothers" as well as the newer additions to our alliance. Tension between guilds is very easy to start and this group is primarily for solving these issues before they become problems - so dont hesitate to contact them to get things cleared out.

How old are you and where do you live irl?

I'm 27 years young, atm i live in Antwerp Belgium. Original im from The Netherlands.

In your oppinion what is the best snack and softdrink to have at your side for a great gaming session?

I dont like softdrinks, normally its either coffee/beer or wine. snack mmm no idea i dont really eat those either. There went the gamer stereotype i guess...

Tell us a bit about your gaming story before you joined SUN?

My Mmo gaming history started in AC (DT)1999/2000 not sure, when me and my rl friend bought the game we saw 6 servers(?) we could choose from. One of them said enter at own risk or something along those lines, well couldnt resist that. So we started and ran around on lvl 1's around Holtburg where we ofc died alot of times. Here we also got familiar with the terms pk and anti, us being clueless newbs got asked alot if we were pk which we answered well yes ofcourse we are red dots right?

Wasnt untill a few months later untill we discoverd what it really meant. Anyway to keep it abit short we joined BoJ after hopping a few guilds we were young and didnt really get the loyalty stuff. Here we stayed until Boj merged with Black Rose and untill today i still play with most of them.

In AC I alrdy met some of the SUN guys but they were on the other side!! I tried some of the games which came out after ac. Daoc/Sb/PS/WoW. DAoC i actually liked but since none of my guild at the time was playing i didnt play it long.

SB was fun ffa/destorying towns but abit to buggy, nontheless fun. Here i played on the same side as SUN for the first time (believe it was in a splitoff from r30's not sure on the name anymore), although i dont believe they had that many playing.

Then the disaster to the pk community called WoW hit the shelves, with that of a good marketing all the rpk clans fell for them.

Here I joined up with SUN (yeah great game to pick to join a pvp clan...). Sponsors were Khael and Myrd I believe. In the beginning i actually had fun with the outdoor pvping but that didnt last long when all those BG's were created thats where i quit WoW.

After that i havent been gaming alot, played AC off and on with some old friends but never played with SUN again untill Darkfall (vaporware uh uh!), i was one of those people who were following the game progress for the last 6 years. And saw in darkfall the game which would be heaven and would prolly also be my last Mmo game.

So I renewed my contacts from SUN and then.. beta started!!

Tell us a bit about how a typical day in the guild is for you?

Well since I work from home i have alot of time to play. It starts with checking irc and look what happend while i was sleeping, then i do a fast sweep on the boards (love the politics)

Log in and do some random stuff check what i need to get my char abit better or which stocks im low on and try to remedy that.

Since i sadly enough have to work also so i mostly gather stuff during daytime and then afer diner the fun stuff starts. Normally i/we travel to mainland to roam around and kill people the whole evening/night.

Since i got bombarded to some-kind of gameleader, i also take part in the talks about conquest / sieging / city building / direction of the guild etc. i have no regrets of accepting this position and i will keep doing my best to make sure SUN doesnt lose his name of a old pk guild.

How would you describe your time so far in Darkfall with SUN?

Great!! We managed each goal sofar which we set for ourselves the most important one getting the City we decided on in Beta. Think we were the third (4th i think /Frank) guild on release to get our City only 1 min behind blood and i think LoD beated us by 30 min.

But we played it safe by making sure we had people defending the location and protecting the shard carrier, so we could have done it even faster:)
