At the moment I’m playing Rift with many other SUN’s. I do this, because i need a break from Darkfall, Drama and Forenfall. And another important reason was also, that i wanted to start a game with SUN.

Playing another Game with SUN leads of course to meeting and playing with SUN’s, which don’t play Darkfall and I really really enjoy this. One of this people is Travis. First time i met Travis on the Xmas-Bash at Jearens Party and there is something, what i noticed about him at this weekend: He didn’t talked to me. I guess, that i nearly talked on some point to every SUN on the partys, but i can’t remember, that i’ve talked with him. I was little bit wondering about that, because he is a part of the Council and with this an important part of SUN. During the making from this spotlight Travis claimed, that we indeed was talking, but Doctor pulled him away from me (for drinking Absinth) but I’m not sure, if i should believe that.

Anyways, he was a little bit cheeky in Rift, so i decided, that he win the next Spotlight on the frontpage. He even tried to avoid this with showing me an frontpagearticle from him, but hey, this one was from 2001! 10 Years ago. I mean, now you are older Travis! Much older! ;)

Okay, enough said! I’m happy to present Travis:

How old are you and where do you live irl?

I’m 31 and from Copenhagen.

Tell us a little bit more about you:

I work for an IT company that specialize in software for the health sector (doctors, dentists etc.) and I drink more Red Bull than anyone else on the planet.

Which games are you playing at the moment?

Rift, Ultima Online (IPY2) and got a business going in Second Life.

Is there a reason, that you don’t play Darkfall?

I did, but the grind, the travel time, the 3rd party programs, etc etc. made me rather want to chew on broken glass, then spend time in Darkfall. Frank Sinatra bribed me with 100.000 gold to give it a try again later on and… ya same crap. Just didn’t appeal to me sadly.

Whats the story behind your nick?

Long ago when I was going to play Diablo with some friends. We made a rule that the first name we heard on TV should be our char name. I swapped to a channel that was playing “Sleepwalkers” by Stephen King, as the girl said “Welcome to Travis” (the town).

A while later we wanted to play again and we did the same trick. This time I swapped over to a channel playing Lethal Weapons 3, as they said the name of the bad guy “Travis”..

Was called Travis ever since.

What is SUN for you?

The Lunatic Asylum..nah.. SUN is more than just a community.. it’s a bunch of friends. Some I’ve known for almost 20 years now. I often hang out with some RL etc. Some I consider good friends, and others I love like the dog that wont stop pissing on the carpet.

Tell us a bit about your Story with SUN?

Uhm.. When we made SUN on Catskills in UO I created Snowmann SUN (The first SUN char.. wewt). I went idle for a bit on Catskills and was mainly playing on Atlantic for a while.. Then after some time, I swapped to Catskills fully. Later on we merged with BaGooK TriBe into TeamDK.

When Dark Age of Camelot was going to be released, we all had a meeting RL at Franks place. There the Council was created. Time passed and we ended up being a very few active SUN players in DAoC on Merlin (Schlachter, Tysken and a few others), so we left SUN, to recruit more freely. Schlachter rejoined SUN when the FFA server was created, but I had been playing with Conquest for a bit and quit DAoC not long after.

When Shadowbane came out, I rejoined SUN and from there we went to WoW and the rest is history.

Tell us a bit about how a typical day in the guild is for you? What tasks you have to do as Member of the Council?

Well, the guild is more mature now so there’s less drama to deal with etc. Read the boards, answer the priv msgs, tell Schlachter he sucks, log in, grind xp, pvp and “mumble on mumble”. The tasks for Council is really just to sit in the back and make sure everything is running smoothly. As said the guild and the people in it, are mature enough to behave now.. Unlike years ago, where being Council almost meant “fulltime job”. We do have to step in sometimes to have a word with someone who stepped over the line, talk with Game officers about changes that could/would effect the overall guild and sometimes kick people.

How would you describe your time so far in SUN?

Psychedelic

Do you have any funny or fail stories which include other SUNs?

Biggest fail I recall is FZuul at a SUN gathering, trying tell someone that when he was playing poker, he didn’t care about the money. To prove his point, he burned 100 DKR ($20) and doing so, also burned his fingers. So gratz on paying 100 DKR to have your fingers burned.

Which SUN has done something you appreciate? - Long list.. But Khael for doing our webpage.
As you see it, which SUN is the best pvp'er. - It all depends on which game it is, some are good in UO, some in DF, Some in WoW style. etc.
Who is the most helpfull. - Frank Sinatra always stand out as someone who goes out of his way to help when needed.
Who is most angry. - On the boards, Neo and in Mumble, Schlachter ;)

Who has the sexiest char? - Noone, we all look like crap!

Tell us one thing about you that noone in SUN knows about you.

I’m an expert in tooth morphology and dentistry.

Travis: Hey!, that article wasn’t from 2001!, it was from late 2008. We didn’t get the boards until late 2002 as far as I remember :P

And we need more people to bring absinth to the gatherings!

Eli: Hehe, but the first link you showed me, was this one. And indeed there was some interesting things to read! I wanna quote a short part, because its pretty funny!
